The building that debuts in Florence will maintain the old facade, from the 1800s.
The European hybrid hotel model, “The Student Hotel”, created by a Dutch group, will open in September 2017 in the city of Florence, Italy. The modern system of “The Student Hotel” combines the amenities of a hotel with a “student residence”, as well as spaces for those who want to stay for a short time in one place.
The new franchise will be located on Viale Strozzi, in front of Fortezza da Basso, one of the palaces that symbolize the urban reorganization designed by architect Giuseppe Poggi. Work on the facility, measuring around 20 square meters, has already begun and is expected to be completed at the end of July 2017. The 1800s façade will be maintained, however, the internal area will be entirely contemporary.

The investment for the first complex in Italy reached 40 million euros, and investors are already planning another headquarters in 2018 in Bologna.
With around 400 rooms (costing 900 euros per month to rent), a library, a bar, a co-working, a court and gym and a swimming pool (projected on the roof of the building).
In the garden, in addition to a square open to the public with bars and restaurants, there is also a storage space for more than 400 bicycles, both for the city's citizens and guests. (ANSA)
