Florence celebrates 70 years of Italian fashion

Florence prepares to celebrate 70 years of Italian fashion reopening the doors of the Villa Torrigiani ballroom.

It was there that on February 12, 1951, the first fashion show that Italy has already received.

Much earlier than one could imagine, it was florentine capital which became the first fashion center in Italy.

Florence and Palazzo Pitti became the beating heart of the preserved (know-how) since the early 1950s. Roma and Milan became the new creative center later, only from the 1960s.
