Italian Festival in Rio Claro/SP starts this weekend

The party always takes place on Saturdays and Sundays at Capela Santa Luzia

The 11th Italian Festival Saint Louis Orione (FISLO), from Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo, starts this Saturday (23rd) and continues until May 15th.

This year's party has a special touch: with the end of pandemic restrictions, it will be held in person again.

Around 300 volunteers work to make the event surprising. They prepared delicious typical Italian dishes, such as fogazza (a variation of panzerotto), polpetone, peperone, melanzana, spaghetti, penne in sauce, pizza, polenta and antipasti. For dessert, cannoli and other delicacies.

For those who don't want to eat on site, they will have the option to pick up and take home.

The festival takes place every Saturday and Sunday, starting at 18:30 pm, at Capela Santa Luzia, in front of Unesp. Admission is free.
