Holambra holds the first Italian Festival next weekend
The most Dutch city in Brazil will hold the first edition of the Holambra Italian Festival – Traditions & Flavors next weekend. The event will take place on June 22, Saturday, from noon to 12 pm, and June 22, Sunday, from 23 am to 11 pm, at the traditional Moinho Povos Unidos – a postcard of the city of flowers. Admission is free.
According to the organizers, the party menu will feature a variety of options from rich Italian cuisine, including chicken with polenta, parmigiana, linguine with sugo sauce, stuffed gnocchi, lasagna, polpettone, porchetta, artisanal pizzas, suckling pig and good wine.
The show program begins with a performance by Trio Italianíssimo Via Roma, on Saturday, from 13pm, and continues with the band Via Roma, at 19pm. On Sunday, it's singer Tony Angeli's turn to take the stage and delight the audience from 13pm to end the event in style.
The Festa Italiana also prepared an attraction for children: the “bambinos” will have a special space, where a large kids area will be set up with inflatable toys and specialized monitors.
There will also be an exhibition and sale of artisanal cachaças, aromatic olive oils, peppers, exotic fruits and delicious cheeses.
The expectation is to receive an average of 5 thousand visitors per day. “These events have captivated the public more and more every day, both in the city and in the region. We realized that these parties bring back the feeling of old popular street parties, which used to bring together relatives and neighbors”, says event organizer Tulio Henrique Waetge.
