Actress Fernanda Torres drew attention when she showed off her fluency in Italian during the film's promotion The In Between. In addition to her recognized acting talent, she has also demonstrated proficiency in English and French, establishing herself as a polyglot.

The connection to Italy goes beyond language. Fernanda’s maternal great-grandparents, Camilo and Maria Pinna, were born in Sardinia, in southern Italy.

On social media, a video of Fernanda explaining the story of her character, who experiences the challenges of the military dictatorship in Brazil, in Italian, went viral. The ease with which she expresses herself in another language impressed fans.
