Actress Fernanda Torres drew attention when she showed off her fluency in Italian during the film's promotion The In Between. In addition to her recognized acting talent, she has also demonstrated proficiency in English and French, establishing herself as a polyglot.

The connection to Italy goes beyond language. Fernanda’s maternal great-grandparents, Camilo and Maria Pinna, were born in Sardinia, in southern Italy.

On social media, a video of Fernanda explaining the story of her character, who experiences the challenges of the military dictatorship in Brazil, in Italian, went viral. The ease with which she expresses herself in another language impressed fans.

“In English, Italian or Portuguese. Whatever language it is, you are the greatest, always,” commented one follower. Another joked: “Enough, Fernanda! It wasn’t enough to be perfect in everything, you still had to speak Italian!”

The film The In Between has taken Fernanda Torres to international events, where her language skills reflect her dedication to her career.
