Exclusive: Italy approves and city of ES will test vaccine

City of Espírito Santo with around 80 thousand inhabitants will test the vaccine produced in Italy.

The announcement of the chosen city will be made this Wednesday (27), according to a reliable source in the Italianism.

Nesio Fernandes, Secretary of State for Health, will participate in the meeting with Italian representatives.

The vaccine created and developed in Italy against the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, responsible for Covid-19 disease, is being developed by ReiThera, and is in the third phase, when tests are carried out on a larger group of volunteers.

The choice of city is made by the Italian company.

The Italian vaccine – with a single dose – is developed by private European companies in partnership with the Istituto Nazionale Malattie Infective Lazzaro Spallanzani, which is headquartered in Rome and has a laboratory in the region of Veneto.

Another advantage of the Italian vaccine is that it does not require specific refrigerators.

Advanced conversations with Anvisa indicate that Brazil could receive 3 million doses.
