Former PAC militant goes to structure reserved for terrorists, and without visits
The confessed terrorist and murderer, Caesar Battisti, will be transferred to the prison of Rossano, and on Calabria, considered more rigid than the one you already have.
Anticipating what lies ahead, Battisti recently began a hunger strike, but the national anti-mafia and anti-terrorism directorate did not respond to his request.
In the new structure, reserved for terrorists, the former militant PAC – Armed Proletarians for Communism – you will not have access to your family members and meetings with lawyers will be even more controlled.
A left-wing radical, the Italian was sentenced to life in prison for four murders committed in the seventies.
The protagonist of a long legal battle in Brazil, Battisti was arrested in January of this year in Bolivia. A fugitive for 40 years, he passed through France and settled in Brazil in the 2000s.
In 2010, he received political refugee status of former president Lula. But his status was revoked and he received a deportation order during Michel Temer's government. Upon his return to Italy, he finally confessed to his crimes.
