The town of Jaguariúna-SP receives for the third consecutive year the Italian Festival “Viva La Nostra Gente”, between the days September 5 and 7, at the Pedro Abrucêz Cultural Center (Boulevard), next to the Maria Fumaça Station. Admission is free.
The event takes place during the Independence Day holiday and brings together typical cuisine, musical attractions, cultural activities and the “I Love Chocolate – Strawberry Special” Festival, aimed at audiences of all ages.
Typical cuisine and cultural attractions
The party will take place on Friday (5), from 18 pm to 22 pm, and on Saturday (6) and Sunday (7), from 12 pm to 22 pm. There will be around 50 food and drink stalls, including pasta, Italian sweets, pizzas, mortadella sandwiches and artisanal wines.
Highlights include gelato served in Sicilian lemon, dishes like gnocchi, lasagna, sorrentino, as well as a promenade with wines, cheeses, liqueurs and artisanal products. Village of Producers.
Instagrammable spaces and decorations reminiscent of Italian villas complete the atmosphere. The event is pet-friendly and features a kids' area.
Free shows
On Friday (5), the singer Enzo Schiani opens the musical program with a tribute to Eros Ramazzotti, at 20 pm. On Saturday (6), the highlight is the show by Tony Angeli, at 20 pm, in addition to the singer's performance Jonas Francisco and traveling attractions such as the “Venice Carnival”.
On Sunday (7), the closing ceremony will be held by the band Western Caboclo, with a tribute to Legião Urbana. Throughout the day, other performances entertain the audience, such as the "Journey to the World" show at 13 p.m.
I Love Chocolate Festival – Strawberry Special
The parallel festival features a variety of chocolate and strawberry-based sweets: fondues, truffles, brigadeiros, skewers, and gourmet desserts. The space is shared with the main festival and will be open throughout the event.
Solidarity and sport
The traditional Solidarity Bingo will be held on Saturday (6) and Sunday (7), at 18 pm. All proceeds will go towards the renovation of the Centennial Church of Santa Maria, historical heritage of the city.
On Sunday (7), from 8 am, there will also be a 8th Jaguariúna Tourist Race, organized by Elo Produções in partnership with Runk Sports and AA Coruja. Registered runners will receive discounts on food and drinks at the event.
