More than 442 thousand electoral ballots were sent to Italians living in Brazil. The data are from Italian Embassy in Brazil.

Italian citizens residing in Brazil you have until 16pm next Thursday (22) to send the envelopes containing your votes for the parliamentary elections on September 25th to your designated consulate. 

By airplane

The ballots will be transported in part by an ITA Airways cargo flight between São Paulo and Rome. On board will be tons of ballots from Italians living in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

The consulate general in São Paulo is designated as the collection hub for all the other six consular offices in Brazil and Uruguay. On the evening of September 23, the Italian airline's plane will arrive from Buenos Aires at Guarulhos International Airport, carrying the packages already collected in Argentina and Paraguay, will board the packages from Brazil and Uruguay and then continue its journey to Fiumicino.

Low adherence

In the elections four years ago, around 30% of voters residing in Brazil voted. Voting is not compulsory in Italy.
