O Venice Film Festival last Sunday (21st) released the official poster for its 81st edition, which takes place between August 28th and September 7th.
The drawing is signed by Italian illustrator and comic artist Lorenzo Mattotti for the seventh time and shows an elephant walking through the Venice Lagoon, with a woman dressed in red on the animal.
“It is an unusual, unexpected image, but it carries with it the memory of when, many years ago, an elephant arrived in Venice and walked through the narrow Venetian streets during a famous Carnival, in 1981”, explained Mattotti.
“This elephant now crosses the pond and follows the path of fantasy, mystery and magic that is discovered in cinema”, added the illustrator, who lives and works in Paris, France.
The Supreme Court reaffirmed: citizenship is born with the person.
