O Consulate General of Italy in Porto Alegre participates for the first time in Expointer, the largest open-air agricultural fair in Latin America, which takes place until September 1st in Esteio, in Rio Grande do Sul, a state that is still struggling to recover from the worst climate tragedy in its history.
“The Italian business community, as it was 150 years ago, is the protagonist in the process of overcoming Rio Grande do Sul.
"With this initiative, the Consulate wants to show that it supports and closely follows this movement," said the Consul General of Italy in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, Valerio Caruso.
“2025 will not only be the year of celebrations of 150 years of Italian immigration to the state of Rio Grande do Sul, but also the year in which Rio Grande do Sul will once again resume its role as one of the most strategically important states in Brazil,” he added.
The Consulate's stand at Expointer will bring together seven companies from Rio Grande do Sul linked to Italy, which will have the opportunity to present their products and services in order to prospect business. They are:
Agrale, Be8 Energy, Ferrarin, Flexibimex Brasil, GME Robotics, Istobal and Vinícola Luiz Argenta, in addition to the Rota dos Capitéis tourist route, which passes through cities in Serra Gaúcha, such as Bento Gonçalves.
In addition, the Consulate is promoting a show by Italian singer Mafalda Minnozzi at the Stellantis stand on Tuesday (27). (HANDLE)
