The Italian Consulate General in São Paulo will hold a new recruitment drive in 2022, according to information provided by the agency. Italianism portalThose being called are the people who joined the queue for the Italian citizenship recognition process in 2011 – 11 years ago.
The consulate's response suggests that those scheduled for the following years will be called, as happened in 2020. That year, applicants from the years 2008, 2009 and 2010 were called – 17 scheduled in total.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the consulate recognized the Italian citizenship of 8.528 applicants in 2021.
The information was passed on by the organ ao Italianism portal, this Wednesday (16).
The Supreme Court reaffirmed: citizenship is born with the person.
