The consulate, under the leadership of Consul General Eugenia Tiziana Berti, has implemented projects such as “PassaportAmico” to assist the elderly and urgent cases. In addition, biometric data collection for passport issuance will be facilitated with the opening of a new office in Florianópolis, scheduled for 2025.
The forecast for the coming years is optimistic: the consulate expects to process more than 12 thousand new requests for Italian citizenship “iure sanguinis” until 2026.
“Working in harmony with the community, listening to criticism and suggestions is essential to building an even more promising future for Italian-Brazilians,” concluded the consul.
