Porto Alegre wants to test scheduling by email
The Italian Consulate General in Porto Alegre published, this Thursday (21), a call for the process of recognizing Italian citizenship.
The body's objective is to survey the number of people who are on the waiting list and who are still interested in submitting a citizenship application. “We invite those scheduled to wait in line, up to number 12.800, to confirm their initial appointment” says the note.
In practice, 1.100 applicants will be able to participate in the call.
The consulate intends to experiment with a new system, “Conferma”, where scheduling takes place via email. Until the end of 2018, applicants needed to schedule an appointment using the “Prenota On Line” system.
