According to tradition, the recipe must be prepared on the 29th of each month.

Every 29th is the time to eat gnocchi, or… gnocchi, and hope for more money in your wallet. Italian superstition has taken over the world – if only every belief were so delicious!

Legend has it that on December 29th, in the 4th century, a young Saint Pantaleon, ragged and hungry, knocked on the door of a family and asked for a plate of food.

There wasn't much and each person received seven pieces of dough. At the end of the meal, the saint stood up, thanked his hosts for their generosity and went on his way. The owners of the house were surprised by the small miracle: under each plate there was a lot of money.

Replicating the tradition is very easy: place a note of any denomination under the plate. Before eating, separate seven pieces and stand upright. Eat the gnocchi separately: with each bite, make a wish. Then, just enjoy this delicious Italian classic. It is recommended to keep the used money in your wallet until the next 29th.
