The 05th edition of the Italian Festival of Saint Cajetan, considered the largest Italian-inspired street celebration in Brazil. With completely free entry, the event takes place every Saturday and Sunday in August, until the 27th, starting at 18pm, in the Fundação neighborhood.
"São Caetano is proud of its Italian heritage, and the festival doesn't lose its roots. Each year, the event becomes more and more exuberant, attracting thousands of families from our city and the region, who can enjoy pleasant moments with lots of music and good food. All in safety," says Mayor José Auricchio Júnior.
Gastronomy
For those who enjoy good pasta and want to enjoy the best of Italian gastronomy, the tip is to visit Mariano Pamplona and 28 de Julho roads, as well as the “Square of Flavors”, which will occupy the Provincial Municipal Park of Treviso. “There are approximately 3 thousand kilos of flour and another 2,5 thousand kilos of pasta involved in the party to guarantee the best of Italian cuisine to visitors”, guarantees Cury. Gnocchi, capeletti, lasagna and cannoli are just some of the options that will make up the menu offered at the 29 stalls maintained by the city's charitable institutions.
For those going to the event to enjoy a good cultural program, the recommendation is to stay at Treviso Province Municipal Park, where the shows take place.
Expectation
The expectation is that at least 120 visitors pass through the place over the four party weekends, in order to surpass last year's attendance record, when 113 thousand passed through the venue.
