Event will take place between January 20th and 24th in Rimini
The city of Rimini, Italy, will host, from January 20 to 23, the 8th edition of the Gelateria World Cup, which will elect the best on the planet.
The competition, which will take place during the International Ice Cream, Confectionery and Bakery Exhibition (Sigep), will bring together confectioners from 12 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Korea, France, Japan, Morocco, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United States. This year, Italy will not be able to participate because they were the winners of the last two editions.
The event will be made up of 12 teams made up of a gelato expert, a pastry chef, a chef, an ice sculptor and a team leader. Everyone will go through 10 tests, which include decorating glasses, making cake, snacks, artistic ice pieces, final presentation, among others.
At the end of the competition, the groups will be judged by 14 people, including experts and journalists, who will decide which is the best Gelateria in the world.
The Brazilian team is made up of chefs Frederico Jardim Samora, Mario Mangone, Isabella Christina Brenbler, Abner Colombati and Glauco Scici.
