The tribute was decided by the league that manages Italy's first division, in solidarity with the families of the victims and in memory of the young people who lost their lives
Italian football Serie A players will wear black armbands in this weekend's matches, as a sign of mourning for the fire that killed 10 Flamengo academy athletes at the Ninho do Urubu training center, in Rio de Janeiro, this Friday ( 8).
One of the teams that will take the field this weekend is Milan, owned by Lucas Paquetá, who was raised in Ninho do Urubu and lived there from the age of nine to 21. On his Instagram profile, the midfielder asked that “God comfort everyone’s hearts”.
“The sadness that this news brings is immense, I spent 12 years of my life experiencing this environment, the desire to become a nest egg, dreams and goals interrupted by a tragedy that cannot be believed!”, wrote Paquetá.
The Rossoneri club will face Cagliari, this Sunday (10), at 17:30 pm (Brasília time).
