Brasília wins its first edition of the Polenta Festival

The 1st Polenta Festival in Brasília is coming

The event will feature the traditional Tombo da Polenta and artisanal products fair

The Polenta Festival will be held in Brasília for the first time, on July 28th. Inspired by the traditional Italian dish, the event will take place at the Centro de Tradições Gaúchas Jayme Caetano Braun (CTG). Tickets cost R$50 and R$38 (for those who donate 1kg of non-perishable food) and are on sale in advance.

From 16pm onwards, visitors will be able to stroll through a fair with artisanal products, such as pasta, jams, sauces, sweets, cheeses and salami.

Made by members of the Federazione Italiana Cuochi (FIC), a gastronomic entity that attests to the quality of Italian chefs and restaurants, dinner will be served at 20pm, with three sauce options for the polenta: spicy sausage ragu, meat and vegetable. Drinks will be sold separately.

One of the attractions of the party will be the “polenta tomb”, a tradition that involves a large pot filled with kilos of the delicacy.
