The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced on Saturday (28) that the Brazilian and Italian masters teams will participate in a festive game to repeat the historic 1994 World Cup final.

The match will take place on January 9th, at 21:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Presidente Vargas Stadium, in Fortaleza. Tickets will cost R$20.

According to the CBF, among the confirmed Brazilian players are: Taffarel, Gilmar Rinaldi, Cafu, Jorginho, Márcio Santos, Aldair, Ricardo Rocha, Ronaldão, Branco, Mauro Silva, Dunga, Mazinho, Bebeto, Zinho, Paulo Sérgio and Viola, led by coach Carlos Alberto Parreira.

Among the Italians, the expectation is that Baresi, Albertini, Zola, Apolloni, Benarrivo, Berti, Costacurta, Casiraghi, Evani, Mussi, Massaro and Tassotti, led by Arrigo Sacchi, will be present.

Furthermore, the CBF reported that the Italy team will feature players who wore the Azzurri shirt in other seasons, such as Schillaci, Panucci, Vierchowod, Braglia, Eranio and Rossi.

The 1994 World Cup final made history after former Italian attacking midfielder Roberto Baggio missed the decisive penalty at the Rose Bowl stadium, in California, and secured Brazil's fourth championship. At the time, the Brazilian team was facing a five-World Cup drought.
