The measure is foreseen in an economic decree approved this Wednesday. 55 billion euros to revive the Italian economy

As anticipated by Italianism, Italy will make available a bonus of up to 500 euros for families touring within the country. The announcement was made this Wednesday (13) by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.

The measure aims to encourage economic recovery of the country, strongly shaken by the coronavirus pandemic (Sars-CoV-2).

Who can use

Families with an annual income of up to 40 thousand euros will be able to use the bonus on hotel services, including B&B, from July 1st to December 31st, 2020.

Restaurants and bathing establishments will have some taxes exempt, according to Economy Minister Roberto Gualtieri.

Italy has set aside 2,4 billion euros to help companies in the tourism sector.

In total, the decree signed today provides 55 billion euros to revive the country's economy, in the agriculture, industry and commerce sectors.

“There are 25,6 billion euros for workers”, said Prime Minister Conte.
