Mansions, private parties, joys and sorrows. The former Prime Minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi, paid 35 million euros – more than 220 million reais – in “condominium expenses” in the last 10 years.
According to Corriere newspaper, the billionaire Italian businessman and neoliberal politician spent a fortune to maintain the sumptuous and expensive jewels in Arcore, Macherio, Lake Como and Sardinia.
Silvio Berlusconi occupies fourth place on the list of richest men in Italy, according to Forbes. His net worth is almost 8 billion dollars.

Processes from “bunga-bunga”
And it was these mansions that placed Berlusconi face to face with justice.
The tycoon is the target of several investigations in the case “Ruby ter“, which investigates alleged bribes to manipulate the testimonies of witnesses involved in the “bunga-bunga”, as the nights out at the former prime minister’s mansions were called.
Three of these investigations – in Milan, Rome, and Siena – are already in the procedural phase and had hearings scheduled for April and May, when the former prime minister was hospitalized.
In Milan, Berlusconi is accused of corrupting the testimonies of call girls who attended his parties. The process was postponed until September 8th.
In Rome, the accusation refers to alleged payments to induce singer Mariano Apicella, also a defendant, to lie in his favor in the "Ruby" trial, in which Berlusconi was acquitted of the crimes of child prostitution and abuse of power. The next hearing has been rescheduled for November 2nd.
Siena now has the process at a more advanced stage, and the sentencing hearing, already postponed eight times, is now scheduled for October 21st. The Public Prosecutor's Office requested that the former prime minister be sentenced to four years and two months in prison for the alleged bribery of Danilo Mariani, a pianist who participated in his parties.
