Starting this Friday (5), it is “mandatory” to kiss in one of the most romantic spots on the Island of Capri, in southern Italy.
The city council of Anacapri, the largest city on the island, decided to install a sign in the Belvedere del Sognatore (Alameda do Sonhador, in free translation) with the words: “Romantic Zone: kissing is mandatory".
The signage was installed in a small square facing the sea in Punta Carena, a stretch of coast where the famous red lighthouse is located, which indicates the route to sailors at night.
The sign also shows a drawing of a couple kissing and the phrase “Tu sì 'na cosa grande!”, the name of a music de Domenico Modugno and which means, in free translation, “you are something important”.
The idea is from young Simone Acampora, 23, resident of Anacapri. He proposed the signage to the city hall, which took over the initiative and decided to install it in the Belvedere del Sognatore, a place frequented by couples due to its natural beauty and views of the sea and the sunset.
“I was inspired by other places that value their own beauty with creative signs. My intention is to invite tourists who love the most hidden parts of the island. THE Belvedere del Sognatore is one of them, a place of rare natural beauty and extraordinary fascination,” said Acampora.
Who also liked the idea is the singer Peppino of Capri, illustrious resident of the island. “Among the many Capri itineraries, they found an ideal place to dream, and nothing better than a kiss to help them do so. Lovers who visit will just need to taste it to believe it”, commented the star. (Ansa Brasil)
