The film “I'm Still Here”, nominated in three categories at the 2025 Oscars, remained among the 10 most watched in Italy for the second week in a row and has already grossed around R$4 million in the European country.
According to the ranking prepared by the Cinetel platform, the feature film directed by Walter Salles and starring Fernanda Torres and Selton Mello was the ninth with the largest audience in the week between February 3 and 9, with 53.330 spectators and 351,8 thousand euros (R$ 2,1 million) in revenue.
Since its premiere in Italy, “I’m Still Here” has already taken 100.327 people to the cinemas, with a revenue of 670,6 thousand euros (R$ 4 million).
The Brazilian film appears just ahead of one of its biggest rivals in the race for international awards, including the Oscar: “Emilia Pérez”, by Jacques Audiard, 10th most watched between February 3 and 9, with 53.029 viewers, but with higher revenue in the period: 363 thousand euros (R$ 2,2 million).
“I’m Still Here” opened in Italian cinemas on January 30, while “Emilia Pérez” has been showing for a month.
The box office rankings in Italy last week were led by Alessandro Genovesi's comedy "Dieci giorni con i suoi" with an audience of 118.299 people, followed by "A Complete Stranger", the Bob Dylan biopic directed by James Mangold, with 108.359, and "The Brutalist", by Brady Corbet, with 80.853.
“I'm Still Here” tells the story of Eunice Paiva (Fernanda Torres), a mother of five children whose life was turned upside down after the kidnapping, arrest and disappearance of her husband, former congressman Rubens Paiva (Selton Mello), by the military dictatorship.
