The international travel magazine Condé Nast carried out an online survey among its readers to decide which would be, once again, the most beautiful island in Europe.
At the end of the research, a list was published with the 10 most charming islands on the European continent.
Among the top 10 placed, two are Italian, and one of them takes first place.
The ranking of the most beautiful islands in Europe
Called “Condé Nast Readers' Choice Awards“, the online questionnaire is shared annually by the famous magazine among its readers to determine which islands they consider to be the best in the world.
This year, impressive survey participants took part 526.518 readers, who expressed their choices in several categories, including Europe, United States, Caribbean and Atlantic, Central and South America, Australia, Africa, Indian Ocean and Asia.
The first place in this year's European Top 10 was taken by Sardinia, an island that has long attracted tourists from all over the world.
The list also includes another Italian region, Sicilia, and several other islands belonging to Greece, Spain, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Croatia.
This recognition highlights not only the natural beauty of Sardinia and Sicily, but also the hospitality and rich culture that these Italian islands offer to visitors from around the world.
