Lombardy, Italy's richest region, is home to the country's “poorest” city, according to data provided by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The municipality in question is Cavargna, located in the province of Just like.
Cavargna is the poorest city in Italy: the explanation
According to ministerial data, Cavargna is the municipality with the lowest income on the entire peninsula.

In the Lombard town, in fact, in 2020 they were declared 6.525 Euros – just over R$32 thousand – for its 100 contributors. A truly insignificant number that, however, can be explained: almost all workers in the Cavargna carry out their activities in Switzerland and that's why they pay taxes to the Confederation.
Os wages of cross-border workers are not included in the statistics of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The ministerial data, in fact, are based exclusively on income declared in Italy.
