1 - Italian restaurants charge for ice in the drink

3 - McDonald's is healthier in Italy
Fact (in part) – McDonald's uses different ingredients based on the country. The Big Mac in Italy is slightly healthier than in Brazil, with fewer calories, salt and fat.
4 - Italians drive small cars
Mito (less and less): Although you can imagine small cars on Italian streets, like the Fiat 500 for sale , SUV sales surpassed sedans in 2021, indicating a change in Italian preferences.
5 - There are no free public bathrooms
Fact (mostly) – You generally have to pay to use public bathrooms in Italy. Cafes and bars are places where you can find free toilets when you buy something.
6 - In Italy there is no air conditioning
Fact (in part) – About half of Italian homes had air conditioning in 2021, but it is less common than other European countries. Many Italians avoid air conditioning due to health concerns.
7 - Coca-Cola tastes different in Italy
Fact – Coca-Cola has different ingredients in some countries, resulting in a slightly different taste. In Italy, the regular version uses cane sugar, while in other countries, corn syrup is used.

8 - No need to tip
Fact – It is not necessary to tip after a meal in Italy, but some people leave some change if the service was excellent.
9 - All cars are manual
Fact (mostly) – In Italy, there are still many cars with manual transmissions, although the popularity of automatics is increasing, especially among SUVs.
