with beginning this Sunday (24), the festivities in Veneto Valley should receive approx. 25 thousand peoples, according to the expectations of the city hall of São João do Polêsine, in Rio Grande do Sul.
The International Winter Festival of Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and Italian Cultural Week will take place until July 31st and will feature several musical performances, themed dinners and promotion of the Italian culture.
According to the program, the festival will be divided into concerts open to the public, workshops and musical courses, in addition to the famous italian dinners. According to the coordinator of the Italian Cultural Week, Tomás Bortoluzzi, it is expected to serve 14 thousand meals during the 8 days of the event.
For the mayor of São João do Polêsine, Matione Sonego, the festival has great tourist, economic and cultural importance for the region. “The festival brings people from different places to our municipality who will promote our city and bring other visitors”, explains the mayor.

The concerts at the UFSM International Winter Festival are open to the public, but for participate in meals of the Italian Cultural Week it is necessary to make a reserve prior informing the number of people and the requested day.
